Stanislav Smetankin

My name is Stanislav Smetankin, and I am an International Master in chess. In January 2025, my wife Ilona, our three-year-old son Antony, and I moved from Sydney to Perth. Before that, I worked as a chess coach at Chess Sydney Academy for about five years. For the past 15 years, I have been teaching chess to both children and adults—from the basics of the game to preparing for world championships. Currently, I am ranked among the top 6 chess players in Australia according to the FIDE rating. Starting in February, I am opening enrollment for students in Perth and its suburbs, both for group classes and private lessons. I would be happy to see you or your children in my classes!
